Why I need fund for this Live Digital Caricature project?

It’s expensive digital equipment. No one caricaturist in Malaysia doing this. Me still drawing in traditional way. Using pen pencil. Hope with your all support. Malaysian will get this opportunity to get caricature drawing in digital way. Live digital caricature are using Wacom tablet, notebook, printer, LCD, Switch plug, and some accessories. It’s more easy. More modern. More faster. More fun. Somehow I got a inquiry from corporate about live digital caricature. I told them the equipment expensive for me currently. Can’t afford. I almost felt helpless. Then I realize this mystartr funding project here.

Why is the project important to you?

100% important. Do you want see a truly caricaturist using digital drawing caricature for you? Yeap, in Malaysia current market, some advance mobile might use for drawing. But how many of you can identifying which one is really used for professional one? The info and knowledge you should know here.

With this equipment, I hope could run a sharing or workshop to all primary, secondary in Malaysia. Even corporate. Let them expose to caricature. How to draw caricature in traditional and modern way. Kind to raise the culture of caricature in Malaysia. Do you think that you can help me for this fund raising project?

I’m Triton Lim. Independent artist. Caricaturist Malaysia. You can search me in Google as well, in first page I think. I’m full time in my career. Yeap, not easy to be full time. Almost 2 years, since Nov 2010. Business up and down. Few local media press, The Stars, BFM, Red Tomato, Sin Chew, Mintz, Smart Info, had published my story about caricature too. I grew up in Sg. I’m graduated from Multimedia courses. Nothing related to art. Self learning through passion. Experiment. Experience through each event. Enhance drawing skills through make friend with caricaturist Sifu from other world. That’s how I get more expert and expert now.
Did I scared to choose caricature as my career? Yeah, it was. Totally freak out. When you find out yourself can do something better and with much passion.  Better go ahead. The most important is to build up the business through passion. Like me build up caricature business here. Until now, I still doubt why not many Chinese doing this as full time in Malaysia. Second, the culture of art in Malaysia slow. So I try to challenging myself into this career, caricatures. Do you dared?
